Nice the Hexentanz! One of the most beautiful rides I ever seen and did. A very suprising ride! Great job Dennis!

I also like the city scenery around it ;)

One question about the video. Which song did you use?

This is damn cool.
in the eighties the witch dance was an absolute highlight.
how nice it is to go back in time in rct3.
can not Hardly Wait.
Great stuff, thanks

Hello

After being 4 years away from here and from RCT3 I saw you made plenty of beautyful rides for RCT3 funfairs. And then I saw this Hexentanz here..

First of all, very great job there! Very well done! Makes me speachless. I never thought and never expected to see this in RCT3..
And this leads to my very pressing question..
How did you do this?

When I remember right a cfr in RCT3 is limited to 31 bones (rotation points) for moving or rotating objects.
For that reason a shaker was never possible. Or also a Monster from Schwarzkopf like "Octopuss" or "Die Krake" also was never possible.

Now I see the Hexentanz and he has much more of it.. I see 12 arms and each arm has already 3 rotation points. 2 for the gondolas and 1 for the connector this alone are already 36. Then the ride itself is 37 and then the mechanical construction to raise the whole thing up in the air would also have some rotation or moving points..

Then I read "cfr/ctr". Hmm it looks like a cfr but in reality it is a ctr??? Or did you cheating the game and let it think it is a ctr?
And then the master question, for Ctrs there is no limit with these 31 bones?

So as you can see I am totally flushed and a little lost within these (at least for me) new circumstances.

So I like Kindly to ask, what is this exactly and how does it work?

Regards
MG Mike

It is a CTR that makes it look like it is a CFR ...
the movements seem to be "at a point" but the gondolas etc. are stuck onto a track

download the file from the data base and read the ReadMe-file, there you can see pictures that explain the mechanism a bit more

Hi again,

So I tried it out and yap.. It is really nice.. But I have mixed feelings for it.

Positive ones, a very cool classic ride is now at RCT3 availible. It looks very nice, cool light animations and so on..

Negative to me is that it looks very weird that the Arms are rushing in and out behind the ride itself and therefore you must be very careful to choose where to place these kind of rides..

But it is remarkable that the track can be that kind of up and down for imitating a carousel..

There is somewhere a BayernKurve ctr. Of I remember right is had the possibility to set the station or the entry and exit within a curve part of the track.. Could thisnnot be usable for these kind of "fake cfrs". Which are in reality Ctrs? Then you would possibly not need to build a long station behind the ride?!

But anyway great work, no question

MG Mike
